Winged ants : how to get rid of them?

So recently there have been winged ant appearing in my kitchen and we lined the kitchen with borax and that got rid of them for a while but now theyre coming back and i just found one in my room and im getting really paranoid and creeped out because i hate bugs. So how do i get rid of them for good?? Why are they here?? any information about them would be great. also, they arent able to fly that well, only a couple cm off the ground and some of the them struggle to walk straight, not sure if that means anything but still...
