Can you have a saving faith without loving God? Please be bold and give your viewpoint.?

Since God describes Himself as a tender Father, Jesus describes Him as merciful...until we know His true character it would follow we cannot have a relationship with Him. It's more than simply being plucked out of hell. It's more to do with living inside a relationship of love and knowing that he wants that relationship even more than we do. Seems that some people claim to love God or to know Him but don't really understand the true nature of His character. Bottom line...saving faith would of necessity involve a relationship. Therefore it would be impossible to have saving faith and yet not love Him. Thankfully he is very patient with our distortions and will do much to untwist whatever distortions are in our minds. That also is due to His kindness.
