How do I make a cheap floor wash without using vinegar?

I've been looking up ways to make floor wash for my vinyl kitchen floor, but all the recipes have vinegar listed in the ingredients. I've tried that before, and while it worked really well to clean my floor, I couldn't handle the smell of vinegar wafting through my house. Any other ingredients I could use instead? Would a borax/water mixture work?
