Need help with ant murdering.?

I have an Ant problem in my house, I enjoy killing them but it is more fun to find the occasional ant and kill it then mass murder. I've used a nice cocktail of soda and borax before that killed hundreds and it took them number back to an enjoyable population where I could kill a few daily, but they seem to have "adapted" to that technique as it has failed since then. I still have a ton of borax and would like to know if anyone has another solution. Thanks in advance!
