Would it be foolish to read both Rand and Nietzsche?
I have since my youth viewed the world in a way that is similar to Ayn Rand. It was not until I read her books that I truly understood my ideas. Recently the work of Nietzsche was recommended to me and after reading several sections I know it will also provoke intelligent thought; however, I am hesitant because I feel their views are too conflicting and I will end up hostile towards his work. I would like to think that all knowledge and viewpoints should be heard in order to solidify my view of reality. My question is whether or not reading Nietzsche, after reading Rand, will confuse me.
